Ms. Kaori Sasaki is Producer and Chair of the International Conference for Women in Business (www.women.co.jp/conf/), which just celebrated its 23rd year, the largest annual
working women's conference of its kind in Japan with the longest history, which many Ministers have attended, including Prime Minister Abe.
She founded and runs two companies, Unicul International Inc., and ewoman, Inc., and serves on several public corporate boards such as KOBAYASHI Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.,
Japan Post Co., Ltd., and AGP Corporation. Conscious of her civic duty, she also serves/ed on many councils for the Ministries of Health, Labor and Welfare, of Education, of Economy, Trade and Industry, and of Information and Technology, including the Regulatory Reform Council of the Cabinet Office to which she was appointed by Prime Minister Abe. Recently she has become a Member of W20 Steering
Committee and Japan Champion of We-fi (Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative) Leadership Group led by World Bank Group.
In October 2018, she will launch an exclusive membership club “THE BOARD” for active female public board members to accelerate their business growth and that will introduce them to public companies as a board member. Also, Ms. Sasaki is appointed to be a chair of the JAPAN Chapter of the Women Presidents’ Organization (U.S.); the premier membership organization for women entrepreneurs, presidents, CEOs, and managing directors worldwide.
In November 2018, she will inaugurate “Diversity Index” project to evaluate and enhance individuals’ understanding of “Diversity & Inclusion “at workplace.
Shei is a sought-after speaker who appears regularly as a commentator on various media and makes speeches about diversity management, time management, work-life balance, and new marketing methods. She has made over 1500 speeches in Japan and overseas, including at OECD and APEC. She has written several bestselling books and is a former anchor of the weekly television show “CBS 60 Minutes” in Japan.
