Chris is a strategic thinker that loves building great teams who invest in innovation and technology that drive business success. Since July 2018, Chris has been Executive Vice President and Studio Manager for EdTech at EF. The EdTech team designs, builds, and delivers our academic curriculum and software experiences that drive our learning experiences around the world.
EF is the world’s largest privately-held education company, with 16 divisions that offer a range of programs including language training, educational travel, academic degrees, and cultural exchange. In China, EF has grown from a start-up to an enterprise with over 20,000 employees and 300 centers in the last 20 years, and has become one of the most recognized brands among Chinese consumers.
Chris was born and raised in Silicon Valley, and has been around computers his entire life.
After spending four years as an officer in the American military, he joined Microsoft where he spent 23 years working on startup efforts including the original Outlook team, 13 years in
Xbox video games, and finally on a project to use AI to help teenagers create music.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University.
