Presentation
Young Tae Kim is the Secretary-General of the International Transport Forum (ITF). Elected by the transport ministers of ITF member countries, he took up his office in August 2017. Prior to becoming ITF Secretary-General, Dr Kim served as Director-General in Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. From 2010 to 2014, he was the Counsellor for Construction, Transport and Maritime Affairs at the Korean Embassy in Washington, D.C. Dr Kim holds a Doctorate in Political Sociology and Public Policy from Sciences-Po in Paris, France, and Master's degrees from Seoul National University (in Public Policy) and Paris University 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis (in Urban Studies). He speaks fluent English, French and some Spanish, in addition to his native Korean.
