Entrepreneurial by nature, Tay Su-Lyn began her career as a fashion designer and co-founder of T-Bags Los Angeles for over 13 years. Sold in over 20 countries, her bags and clothes were also worn by Hollywood celebrities including the cast of "Sex and the City: The Movie". After successfully selling her company, Su-Lyn parlayed her creativity and drive into starting a restaurant with her mother, culinary icon Violet Oon and brother to preserve Violet's work and legacy. After operating for 3 years, Violet Oon’s Kitchen partnered with Group MMM and later rebranded as Violet Oon Singapore to represent the new restaurant group. With a total of five outlets in Singapore—a flagship store at ION Orchard, Bukit Timah, National Gallery, Clarke Quay and Jewel, Changi Airport, the group recently launched a line of tropical jams, sauces and cookies to shine a spotlight on Singapore's heritage and beloved flavours.
