Vikram Subrahmanyam manages Citi’s Operations and Technology function and Citi Service Centres in Asia Pacific that provide round-the-clock critical support for Citi’s GCB and ICG businesses, and is concurrently the Chief Information Officer for Citi in the region. In his almost three decades of career with the bank, Vikram has held a number of senior roles with oversight in sales, customer service and product management as well as in operations and technology, and led numerous successful technology transformation projects for the bank. Vikram had also been appointed as a Member of various regulatory agencies’ committees over the years, including the Securities & Exchange Board of India’s Straight Through Processing Committee, the Reserve Bank of India Committee on Computer Audits for Banks, and the Technology & Operations forum of the Foreign Banks Association of Indonesia. He is currently a Member of the Board of Advisors for the Singapore Management University School of Information Systems. On the personal front, Vikram is a strong advocate of diversity and is very passionate about promoting gender equality in the workplace. He has sponsored and steered many initiatives and projects that promote employees’ awareness around the importance of diversity. His efforts are evidenced by the almost equal women representation in his employee population, a traditionally male-dominated industry, at 49% for women in 2018.
