Biography
Elizabeth Jeffords is an experienced global biotech operator with experience leading >$9B in P&L, drug development from pre-clinical to end of lifecycle, compliance and quality operations, and launch and commercialization of over a dozen products in oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, and women's health. Her expertise spans small and large molecules, devices, and diagnostics, in the US, Europe, and globally. As Chief Commercial & Strategy officer of Alkahest, Ms. Jeffords was instrumental in accelerating both the Phase 2 development portfolio and the public positioning of the company, leading to an acquisition in 2020. In her 17+ years at Genentech/Roche, Ms. Jeffords served as Vice President US Ophthalmology, CEO Roche Norway, Global Business Unit Head of Established Products, Global Head of Commercial Operations, US Head of Strategic Pricing & Contracting, and US Head of Strategic Analytics. She currently serves as an Independent Board Director for Akorn Pharma and Executive Committee Member/Advisor in Residence for the Springboard Accelerator. Additionally, she volunteers on the San Francisco Advisory Board for the HBA and is an angel investor in Portfolia’s Femtech I and II funds.
