Biography
Dr Pauline Williams is Senior Vice President Global Health R&D in GSK, overseeing a dedicated team working on innovative treatments for malaria, TB and neglected tropical diseases. A physician by training, she has spent over 25 years in drug discovery and development. Her career has spanned all phases of drug discovery and development, and she has pioneered novel R&D partnerships with academia and across industry. Since 2013 she has played a leadership role in global health R&D, with an initial focus on maternal and neonatal health. Pauline is passionate advocate for women in science and mentors a number of female scientists. Pauline was awarded a CBE for services to medical research.
