Gucci

Description

Founded in Florence in 1921, Gucci is one of the world’s leading luxury fashion brands. As the House celebrates its 100th anniversary, Gucci moves forward into the coming decades with an ongoing commitment to reinforce its culture of purpose, demonstrating its values through innovative pathways towards social and environmental sustainability. As Lead Partner of the Women’s Forum G20 Italy, Gucci is delighted to be joining representatives of the public and private sectors and engage in a cross-border and cross-generational debate, bringing its unique view and contribution to key societal issues, including gender equality, sustainability and climate change. The creation of an equitable and inclusive culture, and the respect for the world we live in, are core value to Gucci, which has long been promoting initiatives contributing to women’s independence and leadership – specifically through Gucci Equilibrium, its commitment to generate positive change for people and planet, and CHIME FOR CHANGE, its global campaign to convene, unite and strengthen the voices speaking out for gender equality. Particular attention has also been put over the years to support women empowerment across the supply chain – as a further step in this direction, in 2019, Gucci joined the study “Supporting Women in the Luxury Supply Chain: A Focus on Italy” to understand the status of women working in the Italian luxury supply chain and identify opportunities and implement actions to enhance gender equality.
