Sophia Swire is an award-winning social entrepreneur with a 30 year track record of empowering women through education and employment opportunity. She has established 250 village schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan, educated more than 35,000 children, and created jobs for hundreds of thousand of artisans. She founded one of first sustainable fashion brands.
Sophia is now founder and CEO of Gender Equity Diversity Investments, (GEDI.VC), a new female-led VC firm targeting high growth investments that deliver top quartile returns and measurable impact towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The initial focus is SDG #3: Good Health and Well-being.
