However, women continue to be significantly under-represented in the job market, and the gap is even larger if we examine leadership roles. As we construct the post-pandemic world, it is essential to promote high-quality education for all, ensuring that women and girls acquire fundamental STEM skills in order for them to be at the heart of the jobs of the future. Moreover, finding a fair balance between personal and professional lives is necessary to guarantee that women are retained in the job market.
