Description
Minister Counsellor Jenny Lennung Malmqvist is a career diplomat, stationed in Berlin since August 2021. She has been with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2002. Her previous posts include Deputy Head of Mission to the Swedish Embassy in Brasilia (2018-2021), development and human rights counsellor to the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the EU (2013-2018) and as first secretary to the Swedish Embassy in Warsaw (2006-2008). Her career in the Ministry has mainly focused on global trade issues, in the development and human rights fields, as well as transatlantic relations. Outside the Ministry, she has also worked at the EU committee in the Swedish Parliament and as a trade and investment analyst in the governmental agencies Invest in Sweden and the National Board of Trade, respectively. Mrs. Lennung Malmqvist holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Economics from Lund University, Sweden and a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Archaeology and French from Gothenburg University, Sweden.
