Description
As Executive Editor, Germany, Florian is shaping and implementing POLITICO’s expansion strategy for Europe’s biggest country. He also is a member of the senior newsroom leadership team. Until last summer, Florian was the author of Brussels Playbook, the publication’s flagship morning briefing for all things Brussels and EU, for more than three years.
Prior to joining POLITICO as a Managing Editor in 2015, Florian was EU correspondent for Die Welt, covering EU politics and policies from Brussels, where he arrived at the peak of the Euro crisis in 2011. Florian spent three years in Die Welt’s Berlin newsroom as an editor and previously worked as Italy correspondent for the Financial Times Deutschland.
