Ezgi Canpolat (Ph.D.) is a Social Development Specialist at the Climate Investment Funds, where she works on addressing gender equality and social inclusion issues in climate operations, policy and analytical and advisory work. She has 8+ years of experience applying her gender and social development expertise across climate-related sectors and regions. Previously, she has worked on strategically mainstreaming gender in the World Bank’s energy sector. She led cutting-edge research programs on various social development topics, including gender equality in locally-led sustainable forest management programs, the role of Indigenous women in building community resilience to climate shocks, and impact of climate finance on gender equality and social inclusion.
