Description

Louise was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Sheffield Heeley in May 2015. Prior to being elected she worked for Aviva PLC in corporate governance. After her first year as an MP, she was named by independent House of Commons Library research as the hardest-working of all new MPs. In the years since, she’s campaigned on a number of areas from special educational needs and reform of the family courts to fracking and children’s mental health. Louise was appointed as Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland in April 2020.
