Description
Rina Amiri, a native of Afghanistan, is currently an independent mediation and policy advisor and a Senior Fellow at NYU's Center for International Cooperation. Ms. Amiri brings over two decades of diplomatic experience, working with governments, and the United Nations in conflict settings globally. Her previous appointments include senior advisor to the Obama Administration and senior mediation expert in the United Nations. She also served as a political advisor on the implementation of Afghanistan's Bonn Agreement. Ms. Amiri has been recognized as 125 Women of Impact by Newsweek and is a founding organizer and member of Inclusive Security, a global network of women peacebuilders.
