Description
Lilian Dawa is a South Sudanese refugee and social worker in Uganda. As a community volunteer for the International Rescue Committee, Ms. Dawa focuses on protecting women and girls from violence and abuse, as well as educating people on the ways to prevent violence. She began her work in gender-based violence programming while in South Sudan for an organization called Call for Change. A passionate women’s rights advocate, she has been working with the IRC since 2016. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two children and listening to gospel music.
