Dorte Verner, Ph.D. is an innovator and Lead Economist in Agriculture & Food at the World Bank (WB). Previously, Dorte served as the Principal Economist at the IDB and led the evaluation of $10 billion of climate financing. Dorte has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and produced numerous books on, e.g., food and climate change. Dorte has received a Development award from the Korean Government for her insect farming work and three WB Awards. Dorte also worked in the OECD, the European University Institute, Paris I, and the private sector in Brazil.
