Hafsah is a fourth year student at the University of Toronto pursuing a double major in History and Diaspora and Transitional studies. Hafsah was a selected delegate of Daughters of the Vote 2017 where one woman represented each Canadian riding in the House of Commons, making it for the first time, a majority female house. She then lead the Equal Voice chapter at the University of Toronto where the group focussed on gender equality across political party lines. Most recently, Hafsah worked on the Adam van Koeverden campaign where she managed over 200 volunteers, planned and organized community events, and facilitated social media and community outreach. Hafsah currently sits on the board for the Canadian Women’s Foundation through G(irls): 20’s ‘Girls on Boards’ program where young community-minded, motivated and trained women are placed on non-profit governance boards.
