After a viral live TV moment of coaching a prejudiced man (viewed over 20 million times), McGhee advised Starbucks on their company-wide anti-bias training program. As the former president of the inequality-focused think tank Demos, she helped shape the Dodd-Frank Act and multiple state-level democracy reforms. She also led Demos’ own racial equity organizational transformation, resulting in a doubling of the org's diversity and increased impact across all measures. Next year, Penguin Random House is publishing her first book, on the costs of racism to us all.
