Mariam Abdullahi is the Africa Director for Android Platform Partnerships at Google. She is responsible for the overall strategy & execution of growing the adoption of Android ecosystem & Google services through partnerships with carriers, OEM’s, ODM’s and retailers.
With over 20 years’ experience in both the IT and Telecommunication industries, Mariam’s career began in the automotive industry in the UK where she led the European IT Services & Outsourcing for Ford Motor Company Group. Since then she has held various leadership positions in Sales, Operations, Customer Service and transformation lead roles at multinational organizations including Microsoft, Oberthur Technologies, Brightpoint, Zain, Emirates telecommunications company ‘du’ and SAP. Mariam has also worked in many global locations including the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
She presently serves on various boards, including in the financial sector, GSMA Africa advisory board, and several start-ups.
Mariam holds a Bachelor of Science with a special focus on Computer Science and Business Management from Brunel University, England.
