Jérôme Chartier was born on the 14th of November 1966 in Paris. He is a French politician, currently the first vice-president of Ile-de-France in charge of international relations and institutional strategy. He was deputy of the 7th constituency in Val-d’Oise.
Interested in social sciences, he passed a double diploma in Paris V University in sociology and linguistics, then a public administration bachelor’s degree and a political sciences master degree. Then in 1990, he completed an MBA at the ESSEC Business School where he also studied Urban Economics, which increased his awareness of issues and values in cities and territories.
