Bertrand Walckenaer is Deputy CEO of the Agence française de développement since February 2019. He was previously chief of staff of the State Secretary to the Minister for Economy and Finance of France. He worked for ten years for the French Treasury where he occupied several positions in the field of corporate restructuring, export finance, and foreign investment control. During this period he moved to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, as deputy chief of staff of the State Secretary for foreign trade. He was also technical director of the hospital of Pouma (Cameroun) in 2010. He holds a degree from AgroParisTech and a degree in international business from Paris-Dauphine University.
