Karien van Gennip serves as CEO of ING in France since October 1, 2015. ING in France comprises Retail Banking, a leader in online banking with 1 million customers in France, and Wholesale Banking, one of the top international players serving large French companies. Before joining ING in 2008, Karien served as State Secretary of Economic Affairs / Minister for Foreign Trade in the Dutch government. Karien started her career at McKinsey & Company, in Amsterdam and in San Francisco. She was elected co-Chair of Financi’Elles in May 2019 and serves on the Boards of Directors of INSEAD since February 2019.
