Description
Dr. Yas Banifatemi is a partner at international law firm Shearman & Sterling, where she heads the firm’s Global International Arbitration and Public International Law practices. She also serves as Deputy Managing Partner of the firm’s Paris office. In parallel to her practice as counsel and arbitrator, she teaches at Harvard, Yale, and Panthéon-Sorbonne law schools.
She is an honoree of Harvard Law School’s “Women Inspiring Change” (2014 inaugural year). In 2020, she was distinguished by the Women’s Forum and Italian weekly magazine D – La Repubblica as one of the 10 SHE-covery actors of post-covid change worldwide, and one of 100 women changing the world.
