Creating safe, inclusive cities involves engaging diverse communities in decision-making, implementing gender-responsive designs, and ensuring accessible public spaces. It also entails promoting cultural sensitivity and responses to welcome all communities or minorities. We'll discuss how cities foster social cohesion while respecting individual rights and we will also address the critical issue of street harassment and toxic behaviours that disproportionately affect women, limiting their social, cultural and economic opportunities.
