Dr. Maitha is "Minister of State", in the UAE Government, also Adviser to H.H Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak.She was President of Zayed University, Deputy Director of of the UAE University for scientific research and participated as an expert in United Nations meetings like ESCWA, UNIFEM, in subjects related to scientific research, women, population and immigration.she get many recognition like HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid AlMaktoum Award for Arab Management, Order of the Academic Palm from Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in France in appreciation for her efforts in the establishment of the Sorbonne University in AbuDhabi , order of the rising sun gold and silver star, Japan.
