Ms. Bouchamaoui was elected President of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA), being the first women to be appointed in this position. In 2013, UTICA, with the UGTT, the Tunisian General Labor Union, the Tunisian Human Rights League (LTDH), and the Tunisian Order of Lawyers formed “The Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet”, Peace Nobel Prize Laureate in 2015. Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, appoints Mrs. Bouchamaoui as President of the Steering Committee of the Summit of the Two Shores and invites her to be a member of the Consultative Council for Gender Equality.
