SUKKI is a writer/director, producer and humanitarian, best known for her award-winning short film, 'I See Her', and for her work on Netflix. A renowned campaigner on women's rights, SUKKI is the Global Ambassador of The Sharan Project, The Women of the Future international program and a passionate advocate for inclusive representation of women, especially women of colour, in film and television. Her unwavering commitment to women’s issues has earned her numerous awards including a Generation T Award and an invite to both Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament in London in recognition for her outstanding contribution to tackling gender-based violence through culture.

Women’s rights must be protected online as well as offline. However, according to Plan International, over 50% of girls around the world have been harassed online and this is worse where they are politically outspoken, disabled, Black or identify as LGBTIQ+. What is the role of internet ‘hashtivism’ in educating for change and feminist dialogue? How can women be better equipped to combat this violence?
