Description

Kim is the Co-Founder and Gallery Director of The Artling. She joined the company in 2014 after spending a number of years in the United States and Russia. She oversees The Artling’s online inventory and leads the company’s various consultancy projects across the globe, sourcing and commissioning artworks for clients from Google to Ritz Carlton. Kim’s expertise in art collecting, Southeast Asia’s regional art scenes, and the crucial synergies between art and technology has been shared on panels and talks across Asia for Hermes, HSBC, Credit Suisse and more. The Singapore native holds a degree in Art History and Government from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Through time, women athletes and artists have gained a place in their industries bringing their creative flavour and abilities to the attention of the big public. However they are still less paid, less recognised by institutions and they have less leadership roles in these cultural fields. What are some of the barriers women are facing in the arts and sports industries? What is holding them back and what can we do push forward?
