Sam Liew Chief Executive, Gov+, NCS President, Singapore Computer Society Sam is Chief Executive, Government Strategic Business Group at NCS, leading a dedicated group of practices to build NCS' digital government portfolio, in Singapore and across Asia Pacific. Prior to NCS, Sam was the Managing Director, Technology Group at GIC. He led GIC’s Business Partner and Solutions Division, and was also a member of GIC’s Corporate Management Committee and Group Risk Committee. Before GIC, Sam was Managing Director, ASEAN Technology at Accenture. He also led Accenture's Asia Pacific Communications Centre of Excellence, delivering business solutions across Asia. He was a member of Accenture's Global Technology Leadership Council and ASEAN Geographical Leadership Council. Sam currently serves as the President of the Singapore Computer Society’s (SCS) which has a membership of over 54,000 members. He has been conferred a Fellow by SCS. Sam is also Board Director at Gardens by the Bay. Sam sits on the Boards of respective School of Computing in Singapore Management University, Singapore Polytechnic and Republic Polytechnic. In addition, he serves as Council Member on Enterprise Singapore’s IT Standards Committee.

In this session, we will explore the complex nature of bias in AI, its underlying causes, and strategies for identifying and mitigating bias to build more equitable and inclusive AI technologies.
