Description

Renita is the General Cousel for TGR Real Estate, responsible for all legal and data privacy matters across Asia-Pacific. She is also the Co-President of the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association. She has completed both an NUS-SMU Masters in Law, as well as LKYSPP Masters in Public Administration, and received Asian Legal Business Awards for both the Young In-House and Woman Lawyer of the Year awards. Outside of work, Renita is involved in the three primary areas of women, our elderly and the marginalised, including migrant workers. She sits on various Boards and Committees, including the NUS Alumni Advisory Board, Pro Bono SG Committee, Audit and Risk Committees of Girl Guides Singapore and Daughters of Tomorrow, and the Women in Sustainability and Environment board. Renita also co-founded and co-leads 3 ground ups, namely the Covid-19 Migrant Support Coalition, Love our Seniors SG and The Kindness Initiative SG. Renita also helps in various legal clinics, grassroot efforts, as well as various cross- governmental efforts, including the Alliances for Action initiatives. For her various contributions, she has amongst others been awarded the President's Volunteerism and Philanthropy Award 2020, Prime Minister's Covid-19 Resilience Medal 2023, Tatler Gen-T Top 40 under 40 in Asia 2023, Singapore Kindness Movement Award 2021, Women of the Future Kindness Awardee 2019, etc.

Women activists in particular represent an untapped and diverse talent resource but face many barriers and backlash in these fields. How can gender equality and environmental goals reinforce one another through activism?
