Monica Maggioni, born in Milan in 1964, is an Italian journalist and writer. She has been President of Rai, CEO of Rai Com, Vice President of EBU. She sits on the Administrative Board of ISPI and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences. As a journalist she started working for Rai in 1992. She’s an anchorwoman but her main job is war correspondent. She covers US and Middle East affairs. She has been reporting from all major crisis across the globe. She authored books and two award winning documentaries. In 2013, she’s editor in chief of Rainews24. She is professor of History of Contemporary Conflicts, Catholic University, Milan. Since June 2020 she anchors Settestorie on Rai1.
