Laura BARROSO
L'Oréal Fund for Women
Program Manager
Description
Born from a mixed background and raised in a multicultural environment in Reunion Island, sometimes qualified as a "social innovation laboratory", I have always been passionate about the issues revolving around inequalities.
While studying International Relations in France and abroad, and observing the premices of the #metoo movement, I became convinced that we need to have an intersectional approach to face today's challenges, especially on women empowerment and climate justice.
As a Project Manager at the L'Oréal Fondation and the L'Oréal Fund for Women for almost 3 years, I work with associations and NGOs that are key players in driving social change all across the globe.
This year, I have participated in the launching of the first edition of Urban Shakers, a competition of urban arts that revealed ambassadors of the fight against gender-based violence.
