Francesca Donner
Women & Gender
Editor
Description
Francesca Donner is a US-based editor, committed to covering women and gender.
She spent several years at The New York Times, as the gender director, editing ‘In Her Words,’ a column and newsletter examining politics, economics, business, health, art and culture—all through a gender lens.
Prior to The New York Times, Francesca worked at The Wall Street Journal as a deputy editor. She has also worked at Quartz as an executive editor and Forbes as a digital editor.
Francesca’s work revolves around the idea of making women’s voices heard. She is planning her own media startup which will, you guessed it, put women at the center of the story—right where they belong.
Francesca grew up in the U.K., and holds degrees from Brown University and Stanford University in the U.S.
