Description
Sanja (Sonny) has over 20 years’ experience advising sponsors, investors and lenders (including multilateral and bilateral development banks, export credit agencies, political risk guarantors and Islamic financiers) on high end, complex energy, natural resource and infrastructure transactions, many of them in emerging and frontier markets. She is one of a small handful of senior female project development and finance practitioners with diverse sector and product expertise, a reputation for achieving successful closings and restructurings in challenging circumstances and a loyal client following.
Sonny is also a committed partner and champion for D&I initiatives within the firm. She is a key member of the Women Partner Mentoring Circle – a global programme which creates connections between practices, offices and seniorities at the firm, giving women associates the opportunity to connect with partners. Sonny is featured in IFLR1000’s Women Leaders and Euromoney's Women in Business Law lists.
