Description
Ghada Hatem-Gantzer is a gynecologist-obstetrician. Born in Lebanon, she moved to Paris in 1977 to become a medical doctor. After serving in several maternities in Paris, she joined the Delafontaine Hospital in Saint-Denis in 2010 as Head of the Gynecology-Obstetrics Department.
Convinced that violence against women has an impact on their health, in July 2016 she founded the Maison des Femmes de Saint-Denis, the first care structure dedicated to the holistic management of violence. In 2021 she created the Re#start collective, which brings together ten existing womens’ houses, and 10 emerging ones, whose objective is to share good practices and to support new structures, including the financial aspect. Several foundations and private patrons have chosen to invest in this initiative alongside the collective.
