Dr Ursula Montgomery, Head of Healthcare Government Affairs.
Ursula joined Bayer in July 2023, following a 26-year career in the NHS as a clinician working in primary care and leader.
Ursula has worked in national, regional and local system roles. As National director of Primary Care for NHS England, she was responsible for the operational commissioning of all primary care services. In 2018-2020 she was chair of a clinical commissioning group (CCG) and transformed the working culture and approach to collaboration with other organisations including NHS, social care, mental health and voluntary sector.
Ursula has a passion for transforming healthcare to better serve people and to reduce health inequalities. In her current role for Bayer UK she works with the UK Government and external stakeholders to raise awareness of how industry can support better outcomes for citizens.
