Description
Rahma Rachdi is a Journalist in Politics, wheelchair-bound, former scientist, researcher (PhD Microbiology), holds also an MBA Master in Economics and ENA’s European Union Affairs fellowship. She is Chief of Bureau Correspondent, in Paris, at French Presidenc, for United States Press Agency, as the first and only disabled journalist for two decades. She is member of the Board of French Press Club. She is renowned for scientific publications & journalistic reports, for various media (Print, TV). She invented the expression “Format Normandy”. She’s been also consultant for Blue Chip companies & Think Tanks in finance and geopolitics. She is participating actively, as speaker in international conferences, and moderating debates (UNESCO, World Normandy Peace Forum, Women’s Forum…). Since being wheelchair bound, she advocates for a better Inclusion of the People with Disability in a co-constructive fashion and founded an NGO, Union Minority Plus : "Platform to promote disability’s visibility in the media, politics, showbiz entertainment, TECH". She directed seven humoristic short movies over Disability/Inclusion (IMDB, HANDIBROKEN FANTOMS). She is about to launch an application “THE GOOD SAMARITAN”, inspired by 1st hand experience, offering helpers to assist the dependent disabled and elder, anytime, anywhere, thanks to the AI’s geo-location. Awarded trophy of best achievements for Peace and Journalism as handy-reporter by WHD (World Humanitarian Drive) by British Parliament.
