Description
Solange Akpo is the Regional Coordinator of ANCEFA, a Pan African regional civil society education network active in 38 countries in Africa. Solange is a lawyer and human rights activist. She has over 18 years of experience in Education policy analysis and management of development programmes, campaign and advocacy with a focus on gender and inclusion. Solange has served in various capacities at country and regional levels, working with LTDF, a women’s rights association, Aide et Action, a French INGO specialised in Education before joining ANCEFA, as a Capacity Building Manager in 2007. She contributed greatly to the process of coalition building and strengthening in West and Central Africa, making Education advocacy and campaign in Africa more vibrant. Solange represents ANCEFA in many regional and international policy spaces at African Union, ECOWAS, UN High Level Political Forum, the United Nations Girls Education Initiative (UNGEI) Partnership. Solange sits on the Global Partnership for Education Board, representing Southern Civil Society Organisations (CSO2) constituency.
Solange holds a Post graduate degree (DEA) in International Public Law (University of Nancy II/France) and a Master of Finance from the CERAM (Business School in Sophia Antipolis Nice/France). She holds a Certificate in Education Sector Projects and Programme from the UNESCO International Institute of Education Planning (IIEP) Paris.
