Description

I'm a medicine doctor, psychiatrist, I've been working with victims suffering from PTSD since 2003, first at hôpital Tenon (Paris 20e) then at Institut de Victimologie (since 2014). Our mission at IV is to provide specific psychiatric and psychological care to all victims of traumatic events (incest, domestic violence, child abuse, rape, terrorism...). More than 80% of our patients are women and children, and most of them have been abused, mostly by their relatives. When it comes to child abuse, everyone around the child can and must do something. Caring is not only doctors matter: family, friends, social workers, lawyers, police...everyone must work together to help and protect better. That's why the IV has numerous partnerships with associations et institutions.
