Description
As IE University's Vicepresident for Global Recruitment & Marketing, Mar drives the institution's vision and goals for attracting, admitting, and enrolling students from diverse backgrounds and regions. She also contributes to IE's governance and social impact as a member of various boards and committees, such as the Board of Directors, the Ethics and Inclusion Committee, the Sustainability Committee, and the International Advisory Board. She teaches as an Adjunct Professor on topics related to sustainability, responsible business, and well-being.
Mar has a rich and varied professional background in strategy and business development, spanning different industries and sectors. She started her career in international trade policy and then founded her own imports company. She joined IE in January 2012 as Director of Admissions, and soon later became IE's Global Head of International Development, overseeing the institution's recruiting and business development operations through its 30 representative offices worldwide.
She is a graduate of Law and Political Science from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), holds a Master in International Relations from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (Ottawa, Canada), an International MBA from IE Business School (Madrid, Spain), and an Executive Master in Positive Leadership and Strategy from IE Business School (Madrid,Spain).
