Anabel Díaz, VP Uber in Europe, Middle East and Africa
Anabel Díaz (Cartagena, 1975) joined Uber in May 2019, to lead the Central Operations team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and currently holds the position of VP of the area, overseeing 30 of the 69 markets in which Uber operates globally.
Anabel is a computer engineer with two decades of experience in operations, logistics and business management in large global corporations, including General Electric and SABIC.
Throughout her career, she has promoted several initiatives related to diversity and equality and, at Uber, she is the executive sponsor of the “Women at Uber” initiative in the region.
Anabel is also one of the main drivers of Uber's sustainability strategy. Turning the company into a sustainable mobility company and eradicating polluting vehicles from the fleet is one of Anabel's priorities.
