Description
Rachel Barré began her career at L’Oréal’s Research & Innnovation department, working on the Group’s approach to sustainable innovation. She notably developed and led the Group sustainable sourcing strategy related to biodiversity-based ingredients . After eight years in the R&I department, she joined the Corporate Responsibility team to lead several program related to the implementation of nature-based solutions in the fight against climate change, including L’Oréal’s Zero deforestation policy or Carbon-Balanced program.
She is now the Environmental Leadership Director for the Group . Rachel orchestrates the implementation of the new sustainable development program, L’Oréal for the Future – with a focus on Climate & Nature, including the deployment of the L’Oréal Fund for Nature Regeneration, a 50M€ impact investing fund to help restore 1m Ha of degraded ecosystems.
Rachel has a degree in agronomy with a postgraduate specialization in CSR management in business.
