Description
Raj Verma (he/him) joined Sanofi in December 2020 in a newly created role that covers Diversity, Equity + Inclusion, Culture and the Employee Experience.
As Chief Diversity, Culture + Ex Officer, he focuses on business impact and the power of people’s engagement – aspiring to advance the work of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to ensure that underrepresentation continues to be addressed, striving for a better mix of thought at every level of the organisation, nurtured through a culture where everyone can feel they belong and can help play their part towards greater social justice. To amplify this culture, the end-to-end employee experience in the workplace and beyond must be constantly re-imagined so it remains relevant and fit for the future of everyday work.
Raj has 25 years of global HR transformation and change leadership experience which comes from having held both specialist and generalist HR leadership roles, at both a country, regional and international level in organisations such as Ford Motor Company, Jaguar Landrover Cars, Santander Bank and most recently Sodexo, where he was global Senior Vice President, Human Resources.
Professionally accredited, Raj is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, a qualified leadership coach and certified Employee Experience (HEX) practitioner. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, a Master’s in Management Science and an Executive MBA.
Committed to serving society, he sits on the Board of Barnardo’s, which is the UK’s oldest and leading Children’s charity. He has also been externally recognised as a top 100 BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) leader for several years.
