Description
Matthew Layton became the Global Managing Partner of Clifford Chance in May 2014. Prior to that, he was the Global Head of the firm’s Corporate/M&A practice from 2008.
He joined Clifford Chance in 1983 and has been a partner since 1991. His practice has included advising major international companies and private equity sponsors on all aspects of public and private M&A and related financing, and he is ranked as an “Eminent Practitioner” for Private Equity in Chambers UK. Matthew graduated from the University of Leeds, Faculty of Law in 1982.
