Description

President of Siemens France since October 1, 2021, Doris Birkhofer is also CEO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure France. She also covers BeLux and Maghreb. After graduating from the ESB Business School in Reutlingen (Germany) and the NEOMA Business School in Reims (France), Doris Birkhofer joined Siemens in the internal consulting department in Germany and the USA, before working on group strategy and managing the identity and access control solutions business in Munich. In 2009, after joining the strategy department at Saint-Gobain in Paris (now Verralia), she took over the management of the glass container machinery subsidiary of the Packaging division. In 2014, she joined US-based Alcoa (aluminum production), where she managed acquisition and growth projects in Europe. In 2016, she was appointed President of Arconic France (an Alcoa spin-off). 2018 marked her return to Siemens, which she rejoined as CEO of the Building Technologies division's Western Europe region. Since 2017, she has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the Franco-German bank Oddo BHF. Since 2023, she has also been Vice-President of the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CFACI) and a member of NEOMA's International Advisory Board. She was appointed member of the Board of DEKRA e.V. in 2024. She also supports various associations such as Elles bougent, Femmes Ingénieures, Femmes@Numérique and the Collectif IndustriElles to attract young girls and women to scientific and industrial professions. Doris Birkhofer is a Knight of the Legion of Honor Siemens France is a leading technology company in the industrial, infrastructure, transport and healthcare sectors, with a 175-year history in France. With more than 6,000 employees, 4 industrial sites and 23 engineering sites, including 13 with an R&D component, and 50 local agencies, Siemens France is actively involved in strategic sectors for French industry. At September 30, 2023, the closing date of the last fiscal year, Siemens France recorded sales of 2.4 billion euros from continuing operations.
